MEET CARI POWELL:
Cari Powell’s vision for Socorro County is rooted in her deep appreciation for the region’s unique landscape, vibrant cultural heritage, and close-knit community. With nearly twenty years of dedicated public service working in both the government and non-profit sectors, Cari is known for her integrity, transparency, and unwavering commitment to the people she serves.
Her background in supporting sustainable economic development, fostering collaboration, and protecting natural resources has equipped her with the experience and insight needed to address the challenges facing this area.
Cari’s priorities as a political candidate center on building a stronger, more resilient Socorro County. She is committed to protecting the land, water, and cultural heritage that make our county unique, including supporting agriculture and opportunities for sustainable economic development such as eco-tourism, outdoor adventure, dark-sky watching, and hunting.
Cari envisions a county that works together to provide safe housing, good jobs, better healthcare access, and greater investments in education—including higher-education opportunities with pathways to employment in the county so that young people can build their futures here. She will deliver for the people and places that make Socorro County unique.
